File from the 3rd dept. of Police, 1889, file N 129. Search for Vera Gurary because of her revolutionary activities. On 6 Mar. 1889: Vera Gurary moved to Paris and was in close connection with the former student of the Geneva Univ, Teresa Ilinichna Efron. Family data is set out, and compared with Vilna Police:

Abram Evseevich Efron, 61, owner of typography neaer Semenov bridge, servant of the board of the Libavo-Romenskaya railway, honorary citizen, lived in Vilna. Wife Sofia Timofeevna, 52, lived in Vilna. His sons:

6/25/1912 the Chief of the St. Petersburg secret police dept. sent to the police dept. a copy of a letter from a “noble man” Andrey Vladimirovich Trupchinskyi, who lives with Anna Jakovlevna, nee Efron, address of B (that is, big) Pushkarskaya, 67, app. 18.

2/17/1911, secret agents of St. Petersburg  Police Dept. met at 8:30 a.m. with Elizavaeta Efron, nicknamed “plush” with an unknown male and a 10 year old girl. They drove to house 19 “by the Rozdestvenskaya (9th Christmas-named)” street where unknown men appearas as living in flat no. 10 Andrey Vladimirovich Trupchinskyi, 32 years old, son of a “pre-colonel,” a lower, with the wife Anna Jakovlevna, 36 years old and a sister Elizaveta Efron. On Feb 20 Elizaveta Efron with the girl returned to Moscow.

 

7th Dept, file 2, part 7, 1906, sheet 113.

Vitebsk secret police dept to the dept of police wrote on 3/6/1906: on March 2 in the house of Visniak “by the” Zamkovaya street” in the apartment of the female dentist Efron was to be a meeting of the representatives of different revolutionary organizations with the goal to create a program of armed uprising and organization of the peasantry. When Police “servants” ran into the flat, they found a table and 13 chairs. The “flat tenant” ran away from the police before they arrived and she is now in St. Petersburg, where her husband, Gustav Efron, works.
